We were devastated by the loss of our dear Muffin at the end of February. She was a favourite of so many who attended Hope Equine Therapy, as she just seemed to know when a person needed comforting, and would gently put her head over their shoulder. Sadly, at the age of 27, she was unable to fight off 2 severe bouts of colic, and was PTS peacefully, with me by her side until the end.
Sonny went off to his new home, to be a stud stallion, at Shadowthorpe stud, where we bought his Mum, Coco, from. We know he’ll have a great life there, though we do miss him and his cheeky ways. We have recently welcomed baby Shadowthorpe Roxy, a black 6 month old Shetland foal and the 13.1hh skewbald pony, Paloma, who is an unhandled 3 year old! Roxy was a bit anxious when she first arrived, but has soon settled in. Paloma is extremely nervous, but gradually getting better with regular handling.
